So, it has been awhile since I have had a chance to add anything to my blog. I apologize. My wife is pregnant with our first child (due July 4th), we are selling our house, and finalizing plans for our new studio to be built next to the existing one. It will give me a lot more room. :)

Here is an image from the wedding that my assistant, Laura, and I shot this past weekend at the Tribute Golf Course in The Colony, TX. More images will be coming soon, but I just thought this one was different. Andy and Leslie, thank you for being such a wonderful couple to work with. Your wedding was truly a blessing to be a part of.

Dallas Bridal Show: In Review

The Dallas Bridal show is upon us again. What a wonderful event it is, too. Come on out on January 26th and 27th between 10-6 and see hundreds of vendors that you can talk to personally. So, some of you might have heard that we were expanding into the videography business. We even have a couple videography weddings under our belt. Well, after many discussions and much consideration, we have decided not to pursue this venture any further. Somewhat because of the time it takes after the wedding to cut and edit the video footage, but mainly because my wife is pregnant with our first child. :) She is not thinking she will be as willing to give up her weekends when the kiddo comes around since she will still be working as a teacher during the week as well. So, if you were looking for a videographer, let us know and we can refer you to a few good ones that we have worked with.

I had the pleasure of working with Emily and Trey on November 24, 2007. They were so easy going and fun. If only all couples were just like them, everything would be fine. Even when we had to wait a few minutes for a couple different people (including the groom) to get back to the church after leaving to find the marriage license, nobody was stressed. It is really nice to get out of the studio and go out on location for family shoots. Not only is it a nice change of scenery for me, but it makes everyone in the photo feel more comfortable. Here are a few family portraits of Audra and her two kids. They were wonderful!

Here's a quick and easy way for you to get Christmas portraits of you and/or your family for gifts, prints, cards, etc. Come in on any of the following dates (no appointment necessary):

Saturday, November 3rd: 10am-4pm
Wednesday, November 7th: 3pm-7pm
Saturday, November 17th: 10am-4pm
Friday, November 23rd: 8am-12am (the day after Thanksgiving)

We will have a fireplace, Christmas tree, and presents setup on the 3rd, 7th, and 17th. The 23rd will be high key white (bright white background) and you can also have the option of being wrapped in Christmas lights.

NO SESSION FEES! ~ Here's the great part. There is no session fee. Simply purchase a voucher the day of your shoot good for $50 of products on our online proofing site and you get to pick the print sizes and/or products you would like to spend it on. When the products are ready, they will be shipped directly to your home (or wherever you would like). You can purchase 5x7s for your family (or any other print size), Christmas Cards with designer templates that you customize, or any number of photo gifts such as puzzles, bags, mouse pads, etc. Proof your images and pick the prints/products you would like to purchase from the comfort of your own home with no high pressure salesperson over your shoulder.

An example package that you could get for $50 would be 1-8x10, 2-5x7, 4-4x5, and 8 wallets. Of course, you can get Christmas Cards, larger prints, or even custom create your own package instead.

Pets are welcome, but please call ahead at 214-289-1238 to setup an appointment for a session with your pet. You will still receive the same great deal, we just want to make sure others with pet allergies aren't present at the time of your shoot.

REMEMBER~ All you need the day of your shoot is $50 and you will receive a voucher good for prints/products from our proof site. No appointment is necessary.
